ORDER
Rosso Classico is a medium-bodied wine made of a field-blend of four
different grape varieties. The 2008 vintage provides a delicate complexity
of berry fruits, cloves and nutmeg. With a short stay in new American oak
barrels the wine lingers in the mouth offering flavours of spices and just a
hint of black pepper.
Winemaker's Notes
Field-blending is one of my favourite methods of winemaking because I can
envision the wine while walking through the vineyard. Selected from an older
section of our vineyard, the 2008 Rosso Classico offers a fruit forward
palate that pushes flavours of black fruit and warm spices on the finish.
Food pairings
Spicy pasta sauce, red and BBQ meats, sausages, pizza with meat toppings.
